November November...

Lots of freakin things happening in November... gahh... but anyway, keep an eye out for somethings in particular!

"Angels and Demons" Art Wall at The Hive Gallery Nov. 9th
729 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014

I'm curating this months PixelDrip Gallery wall at The Hive Gallery next month, so drop by between Nov. 9th to Nov. 30th. Some dates to definitely drop by are the opening weekend, Nov. 9th, and Nov. 14th for Downtown Art Walk. If I have the chance I'll have some demon/angel sketches up, but you'll definitely be seeing my Jezebeth, Demoness of Seduction piece up.

"Dream of the Fisherman's Wife" at Agit Gallery by PixelDrip Gallery Nov. 16th
3974 West 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90020
I'm co-curating with, but more of an assistant to, Zero Blank, who has been steering this epic show to greatness. A lot of amazing artist and myself will be displaying artwork themed after Tentacles, octopus and squid alike. Check out the Facebook Event page or even the PixelDrip Gallery page for it and hope to see you there! Are you an artist interested in participating too? Email Zero at or Sasha Palacio, me, at and make sure to put “Tentacle Art Show” as the subject =)

Art life!
I'm still on a few freelance art projects, so art updates have been few and far between... but I hope to have some stuff to upload, with permission, in the next month. Otherwise here are some sketches I've done for a upcoming book, one on which I co-worked on with Diego Paz, Mark Anthony Tierno's Maldene Vol. 1. Needless to say, we're working on the next volume =P

Dwingale, a female elf character sketch
Maldene Vol. 1 Cover
On a side, more geeky/nerdy, note... I'm picking up my beloved PlayStation 4 on my birthday Nov. 15th, and no lie, will most likely be playing the heck out of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Which I hope is a great redemption to Assassin's Creed III... that game had so much freakin' potential. Still a huge fan of the series though, and Ezio Auditore da Firenze =D

"I'm The Art Show, Deal With It!" Documentary and WayForward's "Shantae: Half-Genie Hero"

"I'm The Art Show, Deal With It!" Documentary

So remember that awesome art show tribute for The Legend of Korra that Mark Batalla and I co-curated with PixelDrip Gallery back in March of this year? Well the "I'm The Art Show, Deal With It!" Documentary is finished and up for the world to see! Plus plenty of attendees filmed their experiences too! Special thanks to Andulka Wilkes and Evan Koehne with their great filming and editing skills, making it look awesome and professional, but Dormil√≥n for adding great music too!

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero

If you haven't heard already, WayForward, the company that brought you DuckTales: Remastered, A Boy and His Blob, and of course the Shantae series, started up a Kickstarter to raise funds for their next 2D Animated game Shantae: Half-Genie Hero! And if you're new to the Shantae series or always loved her but never had a chance to try the games, come out to Giant Robot 2 in Los Angeles, CA for a sweet Game Night 16! Play and celebrate the Shantae series, hang out with WayForward peeps, and help fund the Kickstarter if you'd like! Free to attend but full of awesome!

Geek Pop Podcast

Just yesterday my old college buddies and friends invited me on as a guest to their great podcast: Geek Pop! They're fairly new but going 8 episodes strong already! If you have an hour and a half of time to listen, check it out! Geek Pop Episode 8! Check out their Facebook page and previous episodes, popping your weekly geek =P

DuckTales: Remastered

What's this!? A blog update within a month of the last one!? I sure like to prove myself wrong...

Well, as I've stated in previous updates I had the pleasure of working on DuckTales: Remastered with the amazing Animation team. The game was released on PSN, PC/Steam, and Wii U eShop Aug. 13th. It will then follow onto the Xbox Live for Summer Of Arcade Sep. 11th. It's been getting a range of reviews from love-it to hate-it, but I'm happy to hear almost everyone loves how it looks! WayForward put a lot of love and care into this game and from a a diverse team of DuckTales fans and avid gamers. I also updated my Published Works page as well.

I finished some new art for an upcoming art show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery called "Beer is Art" Sep. 6th. The series is numbered 1-4 and called "Hint of Red"

In other news, PixelDrip Gallery has a lineup of upcoming shows and 2 of which I'm co-curating. Just for you're pleasure, look out for the PBS Tribute Show "In the Garden of your Mind" with The Hive Gallery Sep. 7th and within the same month the Hive Wall we rent at the back of the gallery is Wrestling Themed and curated my Mark Batalla. As the months follow, I'll update on the new shows, but definitely check out the PixelDrip site on all that!

That's it for now, thanks for reading again!

Where do I even start...

I'm terrible with updating this blog, but that does not mean I'm absent online. In fact those that follow my Facebook, Tumblr, and Twitter have followed me and my arty adventures. I apologize with those tat solely follow my Blogger, but I've come to the decision of at least updating every once and a while here with only big news. It's kinda what I've been doing, but I can at least be a little more thorough.

"I'm The Art Show, Deal With It!" A Legend of Korra Tribute

Was a huge success! A great turn out and Micheal DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko were kind enough, with their busy schedule, to make it out and meet the fans. They even helped judge the Cosplay Contest. I'll update with a more in-depth follow-up when the documentary id finished, but don't hesitate to Google/Tumblr search everyones great photos and videos.

Here's my finished piece I did for the show:

And here are a few more pieces I done over the last few months. For more sketches and work-in-progress pictures, just visit my Facebook/Tumblr or click on the links in the titles.

I was interviewed by LAWeekly for the Anime Explode!! art show at Agit Gallery. That's where my CatGirls debuted! Check it out here: Not Your Typical Anime Art Show

I've also been crazy busy with my career, working on such titles as DuckTales: Remastered and Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon because I DON'T KNOW! As soon as they're both released, I can publish the art I did in both. I did update my resume and Published Works tab, so check it out =)

For the upcoming weeks to DuckTales: Remastered's release, Capcom has been uploading a Duckumentary every 2 weeks =P I've been seen in two so far, but keep an eye out for more! DuckTales - Background Duckumentary! DuckTales: Remastered - Art Design Duckumentary

I also had the pleasure of being interviewed by ComicsBulletin's Jose San Mateo on his segment, Profiling Proessionals and was a guest on Sage of Truth's podcast A Word With The Sage

Well that's the brunt of it for now, thank you all for watching and reading!

Postponed "I'm The Art Show, Deal With It!"

The show has been postponed due to holiday delay, but a lot of crazy awesome stuff has been going on and crazy cool additions to the show! Fans have to be there, otherwise they'll regret it forever! =P Seriously though...

Ticketing and Funding is still up and will be available at the show, but no free stuff with door tickets sales...

Oh and as I find submitted pieces on tumblr, I'll reblog them on my Tumblr =) And if you're interested in submitting, Deadline for New Artists is February 28th. Just email
